He kinda looks like he just remembered he forgot to turn the stove off
He looks like he just realized he’s forgotten to turn the stove off every day for eleven years and doesn’t know what to do about this now
He looks like he realized what he thought was the power button to turn on and off the stove was actually the oven light. So for 11 years, he has been turning on and off the light instead of the oven.. now he’s worried about whether or not he’ll have a house when he goes home today.
I can’t claim that’s the exact metaphor for Nicklas Bäckström’s playoff experience because first off I’m not sure that would be on point and second I would like to not get wrecked by my fellow fans
but that is the exact level of revelation it looks like he’s having. Like he went over to Kuznetsov’s house for brunch and Kuz opened the oven door and took out a freshly-baked 3rd round cake and it smells pretty good but all of sudden Nicky has some questions about this whole oven deal
